Nailing the false eyelashes for an overall glam look this Halloween

Do you have your Halloween outfit all-prepared already? What about your make-up look? If you haven’t tried using false eyelashes before and have only relied on using mascara, be adventurous this time around and up your ante—achieve that major glam look that is all ready to be turning heads at every Halloween party you go to.

With different colors, designs and lengths, there are many possible looks you can create. And whatever you choose—either a natural impression; dramatic effect; theatrical vibe; be flirtatious; or command attention, you can definitely make the biggest impact with false eyelashes.

But unlike using mascara alone which is pretty straightforward, the application of false eyelashes can be tricky for first timers. Applying false lashes still needs the help of mascara though, but that is to hold up the weight of false lashes on your real eyelashes.

It’s best to practice as early as possible, so when that Halloween party comes along, you’re all set and fuss-free.

For that nothing-but-natural look, go with iEnvy Professional Au Naturale 02. With clear-band, tapered end and 100 percent natural, it works well for small, large and almond-shaped eyes.

1. Curl-prep your natural lashes

Apply your pick of eyeshadow and eyeliner first, then curl your lashes and follow that up with mascara.

2. Curve and trim the false lashes

Place the lashes on top of your natural lashes to check fit. Beauty experts suggest that to make the false lashes form the shape of a natural eyelid, curve them for quite awhile, and then trim them to create that perfect eyelid-fit.

3. Apply adhesive to the lash band

Hold the lashes using iEnvy Easy Grip Lash Applicator, and then use a q-tip to spread a thin line of glue to the lash band.

For reliable, strong and long-lasting glue, get the black iEnvy Professional Mega Hold Individual Eyelash Glue—odor-free, with no-leak nozzle cap and super value size with 35 percent more. And with its dark color, it’s guaranteed to blend perfectly to your eyeliner.

Dry the glue for 30-60 seconds before applying the lashes.

4.Put the lashes in place

Gently press the lashes to your eyeliner—start from the outer corner first using the iEnvy Easy Grip Lash Applicator, but you could also use your fingers for that sure fit.

5.Bend altogether

To conceal the seams and gaps, add extra eyeliner, mascara or a fine line of black matte eyeshadow for the last touch-up. Flicker your eyelashes a bit to set it all in.

After-use and hygiene

With a cotton swab dipped from a make-up remover or almond oil, apply that to the lash line and wait for the adhesive to soften before you slip it off.

Soak your false lashes in a bowl of warm water with soap; and then stroke it lightly to wash off glue residues, accumulated mascara and other make-up. Let them dry for next use.
